Our Passion

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer during my annual mammogram, my radiologist and doctors told me how fortunate I was to have caught it early. That early detection—made possible by simply staying on top of my yearly mammograms—likely saved my life. But through this experience, I learned that many women aren’t as fortunate, not because they’re less diligent, but because they can’t afford a mammogram or they live in rural areas without access to screening. That realization lit a fire in me: no one should face a late-stage cancer diagnosis—or worse—because of where they live or their financial situation. That’s why we have started this foundation and are hosting our first fundraiser to help change those statistics. We contacted the KU Medical Center’s Endowment Department, and The Masonic Cancer Alliance, and with their direction, we’re organizing our 1st annual Golf Classic Fundraiser at Dubs Dread Golf course.  At the same time and place, a "Brunch of Fun" for  the non-golfers. So whether you’re a golfer or not, we’d love for you to join us in supporting this life-saving cause. We’re looking for participants, sponsors, and donations of any size.  Every dollar raised will benefit KU Womens Cancer Center to fund mammograms for women in need.
